Due to a rapid expansion our client is looking for an inspirational Design Manager with a sharp eye for detail and an expansive construction technology expertise.
The ideal candidate shall have experience in the construction sector, delivering schemes of up to £20m in value, and an excellent design background with a proven track record.
This is a full-time role for a Design Manager. The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design process for construction projects, ensuring that designs are aligned with client requirements and regulatory standards. They will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop design concepts, manage budgets and timelines, and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. The Design Manager will also coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the successful implementation of design plans.
The ideal candidate shall have industrial and fit out experience, an excellent delivery record and longevity of service with previous employer(s).
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong background in design and construction
- Proficiency in architectural and engineering design software
- Experience in managing design teams and collaborating with stakeholders
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- Professional certification or licensure in design or construction is preferred
