Job description

Our clients Occupational Therapy team is rapidly expanding and is now up to 10 members, making you the 11th Occupational Therapist to join the team, allowing for many opportunities for peer supervision, team CPD and effective team working. You will also be a valued member of the wider Therapy team including a large team of Speech and Language Therapists.

The role consists of delivering high quality assessment, intervention and training in specialist and mainstream schools and working with individual families across the Leicestershire area. You will have the opportunity to work with a small caseload in collaboration with staff, other agencies and families/carers.

Speakeasy-therapy is committed to providing excellent opportunities for training, peer support, supervision and protected CPD.

Interest in working with children in schools on the Autism Spectrum and Sensory Integration (SI) is essential, with a big commitment to completion of SI training.

You will receive a high level of support and supervision from within the team making this post suitable for a Band 5 therapist or therapists wishing to extend their skills in to paediatric settings. We have a large amount of experience supporting OTs from the adult sector make the leap over to paediatrics should they show an enthusiasm and willingness to transfer skills and an interest. Therefore, paediatric experience / Sensory integration experience or additional qualifications is highly desirable but not essential with training and supervision provided.

  • Salary and banding is in line with agenda for change and experience, with full employment conditions also offered (pension, annual leave, sick pay entitlement etc) as well as a 2 week holiday on top over the Christmas period.
  • This post can be full or part time, however a minimum of 3 days will be required due to the commitment given fromthe client towards formal training.
  • Term time applicants can also be considered due to a high amount of work being within schools.
