Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

This is at times is a customer facing, problem solving role in which the ideal candidate will be able to use their advanced technical knowledge to rectify issues found. You will ideally have similar experiences and a level 3 NVQ in light vehicle repair – diagnostic technician.

This role is based in North Leicestershire therefore being able to travel to and from will be essential.

Technology simply doesn’t stand still and wanting to improve your own knowledge as product ranges evolve will be essential, previous experience as an MOT tester would be advantageous.

The role requires a strong mechanical background and the successful candidate must be able to show a solid history of being able to demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle issues.

Key Tasks:

• Service and repair vehicles of all makes and models
• Carry out PDI/preparation of new/used vehicles to manufacturers’ standards
• Diagnose faults and carry out testing of vehicles
• To carry out all work effectively and within the manufacturer repair times
• To accurately record all details on the relevant job card(s)
• Ensure all work is carried out to high/manufacturers’ standards
• To maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times
• To maintain and update your individual experience, skills and knowledge through training programmes
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety standards and requirements

8.30-5pm Mon-Fri, plus Saturday rota 8.30-12.30pm.
