Cook

We are looking for a wonderful full-time Cook to join the catering team at a residential care home in Edwinstowe. Experience in a similar environment preferred, the role requires someone with experience within a commercial kitchen setting or someone with extensive traditional cooking abilities. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and fun team who love coming to work!

You will ensure all residents dining experiences are of the highest quality and standard, understanding their needs & requirements.

Person Specification:

• Ideally you will hold a relevant cooking qualification NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent.
• You must be organised and self motivated, well presented and punctual.
• Have a knowledge of traditional cooking practices based on flavour and presentation.
• Experience of baking preferred.
• You must be approachable and adaptable in particular regarding residents needs.

Job Specification

• Freshly prepare and cook meals to the highest quality.
• Ensure the kitchen is kept spotless at all times.
• Keep up to date all statutory kitchen Health and hygiene paperwork.
• Keep accurate waste records in line with company policies.
• Promote and encourage a safe working environment.
