We are looking for an experienced and professional Conference & Banqueting Manager with strong operational experience of running weddings to be part of a great team at our clients amazing Hotel in Wokingham.

Whether it’s a conference, private dining event or a wedding you’ll take the reins and oversee the event from start to finish.

You will have incredible organisational skills and attention to detail, along with stamina and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will have the opportunity to join a developing employer who has the passion and drive to deliver first class service and a quality employee experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Be confident and demonstrate high levels of Leadership, maturity and professionalism at all times.
  • Take ownership and follow and complete any instructions given to you by the senior Management.
  • Take ownership showing passion; ensure that food & Beverage will be served by Hotel Standards
  • Effectively manage your time and productivity whilst at work.
  • Manage the time and productivity of your team whilst at work.
  • Be confident in setting up conference rooms, thus meeting guests expectations.
  • Ensure that all conference suits are presentable, and in optimal condition
  • Have pride in achieving and keeping a high Standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
  • To attend briefings and departmental meetings.
  • Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when the situation arises.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by the hotel.
About you:
  • Have previous experience working in a Hotel conference & banqueting team and working as part of the weddings team
  • Be motivated by delivering the best events for our guests
  • Have experience of working in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • Be excellent at building a rapport with colleagues and guests and be able to motivate others
  • Most of all, you’ll have a professional, organised and friendly approach
