Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Fluid Power Industry

Package: £45,000 + 15% Bonus + Company Car

Location: Milton Keynes/Northampton – On the road

Job Type: Permanent / Full Time

Role Description

Are you an experienced, results-driven professional with a strong background in the fluid power industry and a passion for sales leadership? We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join an established team and lead expansion efforts in the fluid power sector.

Duties & responsibilities for the Area Sales Manager

– Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets within the designated area.

– Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team goals.

– Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients.

– Provide technical support and product knowledge to clients, helping them make informed decisions.

– Stay current with industry trends and market developments to anticipate customer needs.

– Collaborate with the sales team, engineers, and management to tailor solutions to client requirements.

– Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations to potential clients.

– Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities.

Requirements for the Area Sales Manager

– Proven sales management experience in the fluid power industry.

– Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, components, and applications.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

– Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to lead and work independently.

– Willingness to travel within the designated sales area.

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
